TONY SANTORO STUNTMAN  |

In 1955 Tony began his long career in the industry working as an extra in the feature film, "Rebel Without A Cause", starring James Dean.
He continued extra work until 1959, when Tony started working on TV westerns, riding horseback as cowboys, indians, and calvary on
such notable shows as "Bronco", "Cheyenne", and "Maverick". In 1960 Tony doubled Anthony Franciosa for three years on the popular
TV series, "Valentines Day". Then Tony worked in utility stunts on "Felony Squad" for two years. In 1965 Tony started on
the TV series, "Batman" working utility stunts for three years. After "Batman", Tony worked on feature films and TV in such memorable shows as "MASH", "Coming Home", "Ché", "It's A Mad Mad World", four "Elvis" films, "Matt Houston", "Dynasty", "True Lies", "Collateral" and many more. In the late 70s, Tony started in car commercials, doubling actors, so they wouldn't hurt themselves or the cars. The most notable cars were rare prototypes, which in some instances were valued in excess of $100,000.00, and were unsafe to drive. Tony has continued his long career working in TV, feature film, and commercials, and is a long standing member of the Bondelli Precision Driving Team. |
